Wii

Wii is Nintendo's fifth video game console which is the successor to the Nintendo GameCube. Its main innovation is the controller (joystick) that responds to its location in three-dimensional physical space that lies in front of the television. This console was introduced in the Tokyo Game Show 2005 on September 16, 2005. The console was released in November 2006 in the U.S. and December in Japan and some other areas, and compete with the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Wiimote is a unique new controller (which features a Nunchuk as an additional controller for some types of games), its small, and low price are the things that become second advantage of this console compared to rival consoles.
Wii is a new generation of gaming consoles with the release of the cheapest prices compared to its competitors. In Japan, the Wii was launched with a price of JP ¥ 25,000 while in the United States for $ 249.99. Except in Japan, the Wii sold one package with Wii Sports, a sports games (tennis, baseball, bowling, golf, boxing), which aimed to introduce the Wii users to a new playing style.
Wii has a long compatibility (backward compatibility) with some of the old Nintendo and Sega consoles, including NES, TurboGarfx-16, SNES, Genesis, Nintendo 64 and GameCube. Compatibility with GameCube achieved by the holding slots for CD measuring 8 cm as used GameCube, while for the other consoles it is obtained through the virtual console service (Virtual Console), which is one of the features of the Wii.
